A modern fantasy tale with sprinklings of things Arthurian throughout. The first part of the tale sees young Mike Miller settle into life at Hemlock Hall. But at the age of Fifteen he wins a place on the mysterious annual event for resourceful young wizards and witches; known simply as 'The Sabbatical.' But not long after getting a ride on a tinker's magical caravan to attend the event hosted by the City of Bucharest, things begin to go terribly wrong and evil is afoot. Mike then finds himself at the very heart of a centuries old battle between those still loyal to the ideals of King Arthur of the Britons, and the descendents of the odious Mordred who wish to bring chaos to the world. Mike is soon on a roller-coaster of a ride around England, Romania and many other parts of the globe. The tale comes to a climax in the famed three naved Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Bucharest.
