Résumé
The researcher has chosen the topic “Ivorian Crisis and its Effect on West African Countries” due to his personnel interest for this subject. Côte d’Ivoire has, for the region, a relatively high per capita income and plays a key role in transit trade for neighboring, landlocked countries. The country is the world's largest exporter of cocoa, and the fourth largest exporter of goods, in general, in sub-Saharan Africa (following South Africa, Nigeria and Angola). The slump in Côte d’Ivoire has some negative effects such as reducing economy flows on Trade, drop in remittances, instability and a great threat to peace in West African Countries. The different drawbacks of this crisis are underlined by this study.
