For the climate, have we tried everything? No, and it is understandable: until recently, it wasn’t obvious that, e.g., photovoltaics was surely due to develop, without special economic difficulties, at a scale between 100,000,000,000 and 1,000,000,000,000 m². We hadn’t yet, we haven’t yet, the instinct of “thinking XXL”.
And it will be profitable. To move cargo ships forwards, to store heat from summer to winter and coldness from winter to summer, or on an “expr¬ess cycling mezzanine”, we’ll use, if “thinking XXL”, much less primary energy than with usual carbon-free scenarios.
