BERLIN 1987 flying over the wall

In 1987 , two years before the fall of the Eastern wall, Alain met a Soviet Union patrol on the West side of Berlin remembering they were allied with Germany, USA, UK and France.

During a diner with Malcolm S Forbes and US Army Major General John H. Mitchell he got the idea to ask for a patrol helicopter to fly over Berlin to photograph both sides of the Wall.

Flying over that city, watching at the ugliness of its separation made him strongly remind: “if you forget your history you have no future”
