Jean-Pierre Martinez is a French playwright and scriptwriter. He was born in 1955 in Auvers-sur-Oise, France. He wrote 81 comedies, some of them translated in English (Friday the 13th, Strip Poker, Casket for two, Him and Her, Running on Empty, Critical but stable, The Worst Village in England). Today he is among the most played contemporaries playwrights in France. Several of his plays have been translated in Spanish and Portuguese and are regularly produced in the United States and Latin America.
