Jalil SHAFAYEE

Dear Network,

My name is Jalil Shafayee. I was born in April 1995 and am a debut author. I hold a Bachelor of Social Science in Sociology from the University of Aix-Marseille and Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, as well as a Master's in Geopolitics (Diplomacy) from the University of Paris 8 - Saint-Denis (IFG).
I currently reside in Paris, France. I am originally from Jaghori in the Ghazni province of Afghanistan and have lived in Europe since 2015.
Since then, I have been writing stories about migration and its history, having experienced life as a migrant in Austria, France and Germany. I have already published two books in three languages: French, German and English. The second book is currently only available in French. My first book, "I Had No Choice", is an autobiography (first published in 2020, second edition in 2026). My second book, "Suivre l'étoile" (Follow the Star), is an autofiction novel and was published in 2023.
